Hall of Fame Games
Each year, beginning in 2006, the membership of the Long Island Boardgaming Organization elect games to the LIBO Hall of Fame. There are certain criteria to even be "on the ballot" -- specifically, 1) a game must have been played in at least two of the previous three years, and 2) the game must have been rated high enough (overall rating of 4.0 if more than one play; rating of 4.5 if only one play). All eligible games are listed on a ballot, and the membership can vote for 10 games. Any games that are voted by a minimum of 70% of the membership are elected into the Hall of Fame.

Age of Steam
This incredibly tense game regularly produces long periods of thoughtful silence among our generally boisterous group. The replayability of the game - official and fan-created maps (usually with small rule variants), PLUS the fact that every new game starts with a random cube layout - is another feather in the game's cap. While the game can be very unforgiving for first time players (and even some careless veterans!), the rich track-laying, stock, and goods mechanics will keep most players wanting to play again and try yet another strategy.
